Our Technology

Our Technology

Our technology is designed to offer our business associates differentiated, novel dosage forms, empowering premium product leadership and innovative healthcare solutions for patients. Our goal is to provide unique, enhanced benefits at an affordable price.

Pellets (with different release patterns)

Multi-particulates provide precise control over drug release profiles, making them ideal for modified-release formulations. We specialize in manufacturing pellets with diverse release profiles, including immediate, delayed, controlled, sustained, and targeted releases. These formulations help reduce dosage frequency and minimize side effects, enhancing patient convenience.

Directly Compressible (DC) Granules

Directly Compressible (DC) granules play a vital role in tablet manufacturing, enabling a seamless transition to the final product. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, we specialize in producing granules with modified release profiles that can be easily compressed into tablets at any facility. Our advanced solutions empower PFI customers to address unmet medical needs in their markets effectively.

Taste Masking

Masking bitter tastes in oral drugs, especially for special patient populations, is a significant challenge. We have perfected taste-masking techniques that preserve drug efficacy and shelf life. Our innovative products, such as dry powders and orally disintegrating films, are designed to enhance patient compliance and improve the overall treatment experience.

Oral Thin Film

Oral Thin Films (OTF) are dissolvable strips placed on the tongue for the rapid delivery of medication into the bloodstream, providing a convenient alternative to tablets or capsules. We are among the few companies worldwide equipped with in-house technology for manufacturing oral thin films.

Thinoral® Technology

Our patented Thinoral® technology produces instantly wettable, rapidly dissolving films that are non-sticky, non-tacky, and non-curving. Capable of loading up to 50-60 mg of active drug, this technology ensures uniform thinness, offering a large surface area for dissolution. It effectively addresses solubility issues associated with poorly soluble drugs and is suitable for delivering thermolabile medications

MucoStrip® Technology

MucoStrip® Technology offers a unique dosage form that is placed on the tongue instead of being swallowed, requiring no water for administration.

Sublingual Technology

Sublingual Technology involves administering drugs under the tongue for rapid absorption into the bloodstream.

Bilayer Oral Thin Film Technology

Bilayer Oral Thin Film Technology reduces pill burden by enabling the administration of two or more Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in a single fixed-dose combination (FDC).

Spinoral®

Combining Nanotechnology with Thinoral® Technology enhances drug bioavailability, especially for poorly soluble drugs with crystalline Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). This innovative approach tackles solubility challenges, resulting in improved drug delivery and therapeutic outcomes

Printoral®

Our technology revolutionizes pharmaceutical processes by ensuring precise drug content uniformity and optimizing yield, especially for controlled substances like opioids. It also accommodates combination drug delivery, providing a comprehensive solution for precision and efficiency in manufacturing potent pharmaceuticals.

Non - Invasive Sublingual Spray

Our technology offers a non-invasive oral spray alternative to injectables, specifically designed to deliver large molecules such as peptides and hormonal therapies. It has been validated for effectiveness through proof-of-concept completion. Built on a proprietary, patented process, it holds patents in key regions (the US, Canada, India, and Brazil), ensuring exclusivity and protection.

NIP Technology Platforms

Micro-Emulsion Coating Technology (MECT)

It is used for the solubilization of oil-soluble drugs and liquids in the oil phase, followed by micro-emulsification with an aqueous phase containing polymers to coat the substrate.

Pellet Cold Forming Technology (PCFT)

It is used for heat-sensitive materials that either lose their potency or transform into another form when processed at normal temperatures.

Rapid Gelation Drug Release Technology (RGDRT)

It is used for the release of drugs in pseudo-zero kinetics and serves as an alternative to OROS® technology.

Matrix Pore Forming Tablet Technology (MAPOTAB)

It is used for the release of drugs through pores into an aqueous medium.
